?The substructure is used to support and fasten equipment such as derricks, drawworks, turntables, etc., and provide space for drilling operations and wellhead placement, bear the load of drilling operation and gravitational load of equipment, meanwhile rack drill stand and other drilling tools on the drill floor.

?The substructure has a variety of structural types:box-on-box type, swivel type,slingshot type, and hydraulic cylinder lifting type.
